Tell a Fairy Tale Day.

Tale

Get your story on...

Today is Tell a Fairy Tale Day.

What would need to happen for your life to be a fairy tale?  The only thing I that is required in a fairy tale is a good person and a bad person…

Holidayinsights.com gives us a couple of ground rules:

“To qualify as a fairy tale, a story does not have to begin with ‘Once upon a time…’ But, they usually do. It is a requirement that the story has a happy ending. There’s nothing better than a good story that ends with ‘and they all lived happily ever after.”

So, what is your, “happily ever after.”  The choice is to make it however you want!

Start the story of your dreams… “Once upon a time…

What’s Your Story

Happy National Tell a Story Day!

What’s your story?  Everyone has many stories.  I have so many, I have joked that I should write a book.  But today, let’s focus on some tips to make your story real and memorable.  Here are a three tips to better deliver your story:

Emotions – Give them feeling.  If the part is exciting, show excitement.  Sad? Slow down and show the struggle.  Act is out!

Pauses – nothing makes a speaker more engaging then pausing.  however, make sure it is motivated.  I had a speech coach who said the number one way to be the best speaker is to realize that your words are only 5% of the performance.

Action – Get into it!  If you save you are doing something… do it!  If you are talking about playing catch with your dad, act like you are really throwing and catching the ball.  The physical movement really appeals to the audience. They can vision what your are doing and are drawn into your story.

Do these three things and you’re golden.
