Smoke and Mirrors Day.

Today is Smoke and Mirrors Day.
Smoke and mirrors is derived from the skills , planning, and illusions that magicians create.  They use the smoke and mirrors to distract or distort what we see and pretty much control what we do and/or do not see.
However, I’m going to take a little twist on this day and speak about authenticity.  “Say what,” you say.  Bear with me.  How often do you put up your own smoke and mirrors?  By this I mean how often do you change yourself to fit into a situation, around specific people, or in a group.  The idea to be authentic is to be exactly who you are at all times.  Wouldn’t it almost make life easier to just be the you that you want to be and stop trying top be the you that you think others want?  So, how do we become more authentic.  Here is a little tidbit of my upcoming eBook, Choice Mission: Happiness!, on this very topic:
“Always strive to be better through learning, but keep your core you.  One great way to celebrate yourself is through positive affirmations.  Try it out.  Whether you just say them to yourself, print them out and hang them up, post on social media, or write on a mirror at home…  Try it out.”
By figuring out your core values and making them into affirmations that you either say or read constantly allows those core messages become engraved in you. AND we we are constantly aware of our core values, we can truly be more authentic… our authentic selves.
Tomorrow: National I Am In Control Day!
